We collect only what’s needed to provide BrainDump:

  • Account information: Your email address and password
  • Content you create: Everything you write or record in BrainDump
  • Usage information: How you use the service (feature usage, error logs)
  • Payment information: Processed securely by our payment provider (we never see your full card details)

2. How we use your information

Your information is used to:

  • Provide the service (categorization, search, organization)
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send important updates about your account
  • Improve reliability and fix bugs
  • Prevent abuse and maintain security

We never use your content for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Automated Processing

Your content is processed automatically to provide features like categorization, summaries, and search. This processing may involve trusted third-party AI service providers acting on our behalf, under strict confidentiality obligations.

We do not manually read your content. Your thoughts remain private.

4. Who we share information with

We share limited information only as necessary:

  • Infrastructure providers: Servers and hosting (AWS, etc.)
  • Payment processors: Stripe for billing
  • AI providers: For automated categorization and processing (under strict privacy agreements)

All providers are bound by confidentiality and security obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law.

We will never sell your data to advertisers or third parties.

  • You can export everything before deletion
  • After 30 days, all content is permanently deleted

  • Export your data: Download all your content anytime
  • Delete specific content: Remove individual thoughts or categories
  • Close your account: Delete everything with one click
  • Opt out of emails: Unsubscribe from non-essential communications
