Terms and Conditions
What BrainDump is, what we expect from each other, and important boundaries.
1. What BrainDump is — and is not
BrainDump is: A productivity and organization tool designed to help you capture, organize, and reflect on thoughts, ideas, tasks, and notes.
BrainDump is not: A medical device, mental health service, therapy platform, or crisis support service. It may help reduce mental clutter, but it does not replace professional care or human support.
2. Not a crisis or emergency service
BrainDump does not monitor content for emergencies. We do not read your content, and we cannot provide crisis intervention or emergency support.
If you are in immediate danger or distress:
- Call or text 988 (United States & Canada) for crisis support
- Call 911 or your local emergency services
- Go to your nearest emergency room

3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use BrainDump. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
Free trial: You can try BrainDump free for 7 days. No credit card required.
Paid plans: After your trial, you can choose a Solo ($8/month) or Family ($20/month) plan. Early access users may have different pricing locked in.
Cancellation: You can cancel anytime with one click. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds for partial months, but you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Data after cancellation: Your data remains accessible for 30 days after cancellation. You can export everything before deletion. After 30 days, all content is permanently deleted.
5. Your content and privacy
You retain ownership of everything you create in BrainDump. Your content is processed automatically to provide features like categorization and search.
We do not manually read your content. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how your data is protected.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use BrainDump for illegal purposes
- Violate others’ privacy or rights
- Attempt to hack, abuse, or disrupt the service
- Share your account credentials with others
7. No guarantees
BrainDump is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it reliable and secure, but we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, uninterrupted access, or that it will solve any particular problem.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of important information.
8. Family sharing
Family plans allow up to 6 people to use BrainDump. You are responsible for:
- Ensuring you have permission to share content with family members
- Understanding what is shared vs. private
- Managing who has access to the family plan
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of BrainDump after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We’ll notify you of significant changes via email.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in Ontario courts.
